Our first film this month is The Greatest Showman (2017), a musical retelling of the life of P. T. Barnum, who opened Barnum’s American Museum in 1841, in what is now the Financial District. Did you know that the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus was on the road for 146 years until they shuttered in 2017?
Ringling Brothers was founded in the late 1800’s and later combined with Barnum & Bailey in 1919 to form the "Greatest Show on Earth.”
